Biharamulo Game Reserve:
Biharamulo Game reserve is part of the North Western Tanzania's Big Game Hunting Reserves, which consists of Biharamulo, Burigi, Rumanyika Orugundu, and Ibanda Game Reserves in Kagera
Region. The reserve is located adjacent to the southwest shore of Lake Victoria, covering an area of 1300 square kilometers.
Common reedbuck and steinbuck can be found in the reserve. Also there are herds of hippopotamus, elephants, zebra, sable, roan antelope, sitatunga (found in swampy areas), topi, and red colobus monkeys. It is also rich in bird life, which includes among others martial eagle, sacred ibis, saddle and billed stork. Best time to visit is from June to September, when it is dry.
Burigi Game Reserve:
Burigi Game Reserve is located in the west of Biharamulo Game Reserve and it extends to the Rwandan border in Karagwe District. Lake Burigi lies within the reserve.
It was first established as a forest reserve, and gazetted as a game reserve in 1972. The reserve is dominated by valleys, rolling hills, rocky outcrops and cliffs. Swampy vegetation surrounded by forest and papyrus beds with some relict forest are to be found in large area of the reserve.
Waterbucks, and shoebill storks are types of birds that can be found in the reserve. Visitors can also see groups of impala, eland, hippopotamus, elephants, sable, roan antelopes, and sitatunga.
Kagera Museum:

Best-kept secret, some rock paintings close to Bukoba, plus one of the first religious shrines built in the whole of East Africa.
